SATRIA Neo Club of Malaysia (SNC) had its third annual dinner and general meeting last month.
The dinner was held at Bora Ombak in Ampang while the meeting was organised the next day at Proton’s Centre of Excellence.
Rangzeeb Fahmi retained his position as the club’s president for the second term.
The club plans to build closer ties with industry leaders and will participate in the local motorsport events.
Registered with ROS (Registrar of Societies), it is recognised by Proton as part of their car club collaboration.

Members of the club started to arrive at 8pm at the parking lot and being welcomed by a cozy ambient as they made their way to the red carpet of the ballroom followed up by a photography session for each one of them. Each member were given a door gift as they proceeded to fill up the tables as the members greeted each other with a warm handshake.

The night came to life as the live band started to strut their groove while they enjoy the delicious local cuisine buffet. The hall was filled with chatter as laughter and a sudden silence could be heard when the projector lid up with pictures of previous events such as the convoy to Kota Bharu, Kelantan, charity drives, the launch of the Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing Edition held at Pavilion, open track days and High Performance Challenge (HPC) held in Sepang International Circuit, and the most recent Jom Ronda Bersama Proton and a special invitation to the Autokhana Challenge at Putrajaya by the event management in-conjunction with the Hari Belia Negara 2010 and not forgetting teh tarik sessions. It was quite emotional as they relive the past memories on how the club has grown and the fun times that they had together over the years for both the old timers and new comers as funny faces and laughters were caught on camera.

Next on, the Best Dress Award was announced and given out to Mohd Syahid (Male Best Dress Award) and Julyarnis Jamaris (Female Best Dress Award) as they garnered the loudest cheers from the crowd. Our honorary guest of the night; Drex Chan from EA Autoworks was invited upstage to present the awards.

The tempo kicked up a notch when members started to fill the dance floor to show their ‘joget’ moves and some even went up stage to have a go in a karaoke session.

The night came to an end at around 12am as members made their way home for a good night sleep to prepare for the big AGM day ahead.

The next day started as early as 8am where more than 80 Satria Neo and 100 members gathered at the Proton Center of Excellence for the Annual General Meeting 2010. This was the 3rd Annual General Meeting for Satria Neo Club of Malaysia.

Who are we without them?” club President for the second consecutive year, Rangzeeb Fahmi said to a huge round of applause as he handed out sponsored products such as the cash vouchers from Works Engineering and EA Autoworks, Ultra Racing bars and Liqui Moly oils to the lucky draw winners.

Apart from the motoring related event, this year the club planned to build closer ties with industry leaders such as Works Engineering. The club has been actively organizing and participating in motoring events around the country including track days in Sepang and Autokhana. The objective of the club itself is to introduce motorsports activities to their members as well as to educate them to be better drivers.
